Some More Mistruths Exposed About “Getting Healthy” Newspaper Article

I read a really bad article in the newspaper recently by some Australian “fitness guru”. Here are 5 more of his points in black and my reply in red. See previous critique of the article here.

Some of his 20 points were excellent such as prioritize sleep and eat more vegetables. He also said not to trust all fitness gurus. Cool. Agreed.

This is why I call it Primed  for your Life. I assess you, your needs, your tastes, your goals, your environment AND then we make the appropriate changes to ensure you live longer and live better.

Primed reverses

1) Drink more water.

More water means less need for drinks full of sugar. And studies show that people who preload their meals with a pint of water achieve extra weight loss.

Double your daily intake. We need to drink more good quality water.

Mariano Home-cooked Specialties in Iligan – a fabulous restaurant by a Cool Primed Family

This is easily my favorite restaurant in Iligan City. Actually, my favorite in the whole of Mindanao.

The Ambiance

Love the full glass windows, mirrors and square tables where all people can talk easily to each other.

There is even a beautiful outdoor dining area. this is where the doctors were for a meeting and then my Primed Seminar which they enjoyed. They also loved the Primed Mariano Spaghetti Squash.

This restaurant is cozy and relaxing.

The Food

When you have fabulous chef owners in Doi Mariano and Avril Mariano you cannot go wrong. Four years in business is testimony to their quality.

I proudly (and nervously) was in charge of dessert. I told Dr. Victor and his doctor friends that if it is good then I made it. However, if they didn’t like it then Avril prepared it. Haha. They loved it. You beauty.

The Service

Avril Mariano is a charismatic and wonderful host. With an in-depth background in hospitality at places such as Makati Shangri-La I was not surprised that Avril’s staff were well-trained, profession and super friendly.

What I also loved is that their service crew are so sharp that they too have already started their Primed journey. That rocks and shows excellent intelligence.

The Guests

The people of Iligan City are very friendly. They are going Primed too and will be healtheir and happier. They will live longer, better lives.

The picture above is of some of the best pediatricians in the City. They are great docs with open-minds and were extremely receptive to the Primed lifestyle and protocols. They “got it” and are even applying the principles in their practices already.

The best thing we can do for our children is help them to maintain a stable blood glucose level within a normal range. Good health then follows. Tricia’s fabulous Primed Laing

A special thanks to Tricia Noel for this fabulous Primed Laing recipe.

  • From Primed Patricia Noel 

    Ingredients:

    1st extraction from 2 grated coconuts (coco cream)

    2nd extraction from 2 grated coconuts (coco milk)

    Dried gabi leaves.

    Chopped onion, garlic, ginger.

    Salt and pepper, to taste

    Method:

    1. Place coconut milk in a pan and reduce until about half in volume. You can start seasoning mildly with salt and pepper at this point. When reduced, place dried gabi leaves together with chopped onion, garlic and ginger. Allow this to rehydrate the veggies. The dried gabi leaves should about double in size.

    2. Right before taking this off the fire, add the coconut cream to make the laing richer. This should be about 1/2 to at most a cup of coconut cream, depending on how much gabi leaves you have (of course you can add more coconut cream depending on your preferred consistency). Cook the coconut cream for about 3 minutes or until the laing thickens up.

    Optional: – add siling labuyo (bird’s eye chilli) before serving for heat – add cooked, peeled and deveined shrimp after adding coconut cream (because we love our DHA) – I imagine it might be good to add lemongrass to the coconut milk as well together with the onion, garlic and ginger. I’d try making this without the lemongrass first though. I like simple, clean flavors.

  • We get our dried gabi leaves from the Centris sunday market in Quezon City 😊

Primed Javin Has Lost 3 Kilos & Found More Energy.

It was my first time to meet Primed Javin personally in Sto. Tomas in August but he had heard about the Primed Lifestyle through my talk to the NEH Philippines staff at their company outing in Samal and through colleagues.

Javin has noticed the following since going Primed:

  • Has a smaller guts with more than 3 kilos lost
  • Has a lot more energy
  • Has a much improved sleep
  • Has more fun playing basketball due to his improved energy
  • Does not miss eating less rice because he loves eggs
  • Will work on getting more sunshine on his body
  • Now knows that toxic veg oil, sugar, grains, soy and low fat crud is very, very bad for your health and longevity

Primed Rey is an Ironman in My Eyes

Why would I give my hard earned Melbourne Ironman cap to Rey?

  • Because he rocks and will make the rest of his life the best of his life
  • He has a beautiful family and knows that the Primed Lifestyle will help them to have better lives

Primed Erwin is Healthier and Happier

When I caught up with Erwin in July he had made some excellent changes and had some great health outcomes.

Primed Erwin has since improved even further with some excellent results:

  • His wife Stephanie and son Matthew are starting their own Primed journey now
  • Erwin is eating less rice
  • Erwin has more energy and feels even better than when I saw him in July
  • Erwin will start some eccentric gym exercise. Muscle is good to have as it is your fat burning machinery

The best measure of your health: 

  • is the size of your waist relative to your height (you definitely do not want much/any visceral belly fat)
  • Is the quality of your skin
  • Is the vibrancy and vigor in your eyes
  • Is the energy you have in the morning and afternoon
  • Is the quality of your sleep
  • Is your body shape
  • Is whether you have stomach or bowel issues
  • It is not about weight!

Primed Sitti Jane Has Saved A Lot of Money by Going Primed

Since i first met Sitti Jane when doing my first Primed seminar in Sto. Tomas for NEH Philippines she has come a very long way.

Sitti Jane has so many great positives besides saving a lot of cash:

  • Sitti Jane is less hungry and very satisfied with her Primed food (especially eggs)
