“Thank you! No strenuous exercise, save my trip to the gym. Just simply stretching, walking each day for at least 15-20 mins..but most importantly our proper eating lifestyle. It took me a lil’ over a year now, I lost 27 lbs.”

Great primed food is a great start on the road to OPTIMAL health but only part of the story. Sonia knows that it is but #4 on the Primed list of importance.

9 Months Virtually No Booze. I am Loving Life. I did fail a bit (when in Roma) but succeed a lot!

I have too many people to help live better and longer lives to slow myself down with alcohol. My passion is more important than a glass of wine at night (I gave up beer 3 years ago).

I am now into my 9 month with no booze (except for slipping up with a couple of glasses of wine whilst in Roma in late October).

I had a goal to quit all alcohol from July 16th 2016 for 26 months but I FAILED.

After 3 1/2 months with no alcohol I had some wine in Roma. I failed in my goal.

However, I used this setback to strengthen my resolve. I thought about how well I did for over 100 days and was proud of myself. Since my little setback I have not touched booze again.

*** So, I failed, but I learned, therefore I succeeded. ***

Read about my no booze journey here.

Alcohol 1

Is there anything you love too much and is slowing you down? Addiction to your cell phone, internet, beer, tv, sugar etc.

When ready, please share.

It is liberating.

Brain Health Habits Sunday with Primed Recipe of Cucumber Delights

Enrich Your Mind

Not food again, but knowledge.

You need to keep growing, to keep learning new things and expand your mind. Reading books (especially before bed as it helps you sleep better), listening to spoken books on motivational sportspeople, listening to podcasts on nutrition, watching educational clips on youtube and helping others cook (for example) are all great ways to learn new skills and grow your mind’s capacity.

Grain Brain1

Please listen to this podcast carefully. Simply click on this Grain Brain to listen. It is an interview with David Perlmutter, MD, a neurosurgeon whose father (also a neurosurgeon) has Alzheimer’s.

Please listen to Primed for your Life being featured on That Paleo Show #121 with Chad Davis and Reujen Lista talking about the Primed Lifestyle.

Challenge Your Mind

Perhaps a little similar to enrich your mind but here it is more along the lines of trying something new, exciting and challenging.

Examples could be traveling to a foreign country for a hiking holiday, doing a trail run for the first time (like the team from Mt. Labo – pictured below – will soon experience) or rock climbing.

The beauty of these activities is that they are usually performed outdoors so sun exposure can help keep your levels of Vitamin D where they need to be for healthy brain function.

Optimal Primed Protocols sunshine1

Doing crossword puzzles or playing board games that get you thinking are also other ways to challenge your mind. Television is generally a passive activity that does little to enhance your brain function.

Better to do some fun learning activities with family, friends and colleagues.

Mt. Labo Seminar

“I find television very educational. Every time someone switches it on I go into another room and read a good book.” – Groucho Marx (same applies to internet right?)

“The more you use your brain, the more brain you will have to use” – George A. Dorsey

Nourish Your Mind:

Yes, your mind needs the right fuel and needs your body to be hydrated, but your mind needs more than that to flourish. Really nourish your mind and soul by donating your time or money to helping others. Or it can even be as simple as REALLY listening to your loved ones properly, smiling more and seeking ways to help those around you in simple ways.

I personally try and perform Acts of Random Acts of Kindness whenever and wherever possible.

Set Yourself Up for Success in 2017

The best thing you could do for your family is improve your health and theirs. There is no question that health is wealth.

There is no reward for being the richest person in the graveyard. Just ask Steve Jobs….

Once Primed you learn that food is but number 4 on the path to optimal. Ensure your success by engaging a Wellness Coach who can explain the why and show the how to. Feel free to text me at 0929-421-2148 or email me at chad.davis.1@gmail.com.

Here’s How We Ensure Our Food Success:

  1. If making a Primed Omelette (always with turmeric, pepper and malunggay powder inside) for my darlings for breakfast I will always make extra. Then I have a snack for later, breakfast for them tomorrow already (they prefer it re-fried) or an ingredient for a Kimbap Wrap.

The item above on the right is a cold omelette with sardines on top. Delicious.

Kimbap Mackerel 1

Try and always have nori sheets, kimchi, mackerel, sardines etc., cucumber, carrot sticks on hand for your easy as Kimbap Wraps.

2. We always make extras when doing our Primed Zudles. Here I have onion, garlic and mushrooms as my base. Half went into a container in the fridge and the rest added with sardines for breakfast.

3. We always have lots of Pickled Veg like Kimchi and Pickled Cucumbers. Simple recipe here.

4. We have lots of Fish in jars (sardines are my favorite along with anchovies). We have canned tuna in water as back up and because Lauren likes it in her lunch box).

5. Of course we have lots of Coconut products like home-made coconut flour, coconut milk, coconut cream and Primed Organic Centrifuged Virgin Coconut Oil. Thank you to all thoe who support me by buying this great product.

6. We have a lot of eggs. We usually go through a dozen a day. My cholesterol markers are elite by-the-way.
