Chicken Parmagiana is an Australian favorite. We used to love ours with fries when we were younger. Vegetable oil soaked fries are potentially deadly so we avoid those, but our whole family still loves chicken topped with home-made tomato, onion & garlic sauce with grilled cheese. What’s not to love about that?
Ingredients:
Chicken Thigh (no bones)
Tomatoes (sliced medium thickness)
Sharp cheddar cheese
2 Zucchini
Salt & Pepper
All spice
3 Eggs
Almond flour
Coconut oil
Method:
1. Cut your zucchini into strips as shown below and steam for 10 minutes.
How To Avoid the Temptation of Bad “Food” Like Substances
Adam had a hard time saying no to Eve’s apple. Imagine if she offered a doughnut? The battle would be declared no contest as the sight, smell and allure of a doughnut can be too great to resist.
Well, no.
Once you know that a doughnut is not food, know the DISGUSTING ingredients that comprise this food like substance and fully appreciate that with each greasy bite you are harming your body and your brain and that your life expectancy is reduced you will say no to eating the doughnut.
Or just keep eating it and perhaps join the other obese, diabetic, hypertensive and ill people that are growing in epidemic numbers.
Is it still worth it?
Why do you still eat it even though you know the vegetable oils could give you a heart attack, the chemicals and other harmful ingredients hurt you and that it will make you fat, sick and ultimately not happy?
Because:
(1) Of your sugar addiction (if you can kick the sugar it is easier to give up your other addictions);
(2) It is right there in front of you calling out “Eat me, eat me”;
(3) Someone bought it for you (are they doing you a favor?);
(4) You actually are ignorant of the harmful affects it does to you; and/or
(5) You actually don’t care how you look, feel and simply live for the moment regardless of the negative consequences.
Here are some tactics to fight the evil doughnut monster (and other bad processed “foods”):
(1) Write down how bad it makes you feel. Write out the note and keep it in your pocket and read it daily;

When you give freely you receive more back in return. You receive great pride, satisfaction and personal joy.
Bhong gives me a wonderful smile and great joy whenever I see him near the Bel-Air gate along Jupiter Street. I love Bhong. I love his smile, personality and the fact he is always happy. I have learn’t a lot from Bhong since we first met and became friends over 2 years ago.
Giving Back to Bhong
It had been my absolute pleasure to impart some Primed knowledge to Bhong as I have tried to inspire him to become more healthy.
Amazingly I almost didn’t recognize the new slimmer Bhong when I saw him today. He has lost 20 pounds in 2 months and is looking great.
Looking Great but Feeling Even Better
Bhong adopted the Primed Lifestyle in early 2015 and besides his weight loss he has fixed his painful gout foot that was affecting his life and happiness. His uric acid is now in check and the pain has gone. By giving up grains and greatly reducing his rice and sugar Bhong has reduced the inflammation in his body. Bhong is eating more nutrient dense foods like eggs, kangkong and malunggay.
Bhong said he has a lot more energy, feels stronger and has less aches and pains than ever.
Why Is Bhong Always Smiling?
I asked Bhong why he always smiles and is so full of the joys of life. His answer was simple and yet profound. He said it is because “People like it”. Bhong loves to give and share his smile. This is what inspired me to help him out with some running gear so he can enjoy the joys of walking and/or running once his food gives him the energy to do so.

“Age 45… 50km on no carbs… in 3hrs 57… 1st place
Really? Yes, really.
A Primed/Lower Carb, Higher Healthy Fat (LCHF) lifestyle will probably make you a stronger runner. One thing is a certainty though, it will make you a healthier runner. It is not a magic cure or a fast track to the podium – I should add to the title that I train five or six times a week and have been running and racing a long while; Primed/LCHF is a part of the formula and illustrates what is possible. Running and racing are an individual journey and if you transition to a Primed lifestyle this will become a part of your journey. Yes – lifestyle – not “diet”; the vast majority of traditional “diets” fail. Diets imply short term, largely unenjoyable ways to lose weight. The Primed focus is long term health, a permanent change – Weight loss, increased energy levels and how you feel will all take care of themselves in time.
You will have to throw out some traditional thinking along with pasta and rice when you start the journey. You are possibly used to running/exercise to control weight, or at least that is what you think you are doing. You will now eat (more) to control weight and health and run to de-stress, train for a race or just get outside… but calorie counting is out along with carbs and sugar.

I just read in a magazine here that “Carbs are the ONLY source of energy for the brain.” Too SAD. SAD of course is the acronym for Standard American Diet that many believe has led us to a worldwide epidemic of obesity, diabetes and heart disease to name but a few ailments.
The above statement is absolutely incorrect and reflective of the ignorance and misinformation that has led most people down the path of ill health.
It is definitely and absolutely a myth that the brains preferred fuel source is glucose and can only run on glucose. This myth is usually perpetuated by people selling sweet carbo laden, diabetes prompting, food like products, such as the totally unnecessary gels and sports drinks, consumed by too many too often.
Dr Eric Westman (one of the worlds leading doctors) asserts that “Your brain can make glucose itself and your brain can actually run on keytones. The key biochemistry and physiology reality is that the body, liver and kidneys can make glucose without eating any carbohydrates at all.
Carbohydrates are not an essential nutrient.”
Dr. Eric further asserts “Carbohydrtaes are not an essential nutrient and your body can make all the carbohydrates/glucose it needs internally.” Examples include many tribes such as the Inuit in the arctic, arctic explorers and many, many athletes now switching to this preferred fuel source of their body and brain.

Everyone I know that has tried Chihuahua Mexican Grill and Margarita Bar loved it. I have tried all 4 branches and I am a fan too.
My family and I are fans because the food is fresh and it is easy to get delicious Primed Salads. The ambiance is casual and cool. I am friends with owners Ines and Elian Habayeb so I know the quality is excellent as they are both perfectionists.
Ines with Marc and myself. Ines is also a very healthy, real food person who is expecting a beautiful baby later this year.
The most fun I ever had at Chihuahua Mexican Grill was collecting my 2XU Special Award for Best Run Split of 3:28:27 as part of the Melbourne Ironman in 2014.
