We all want happiness for ourselves and our families. Good health is essential for happiness and is affected by many components.
Top 10 List for Happiness:
1. A fulfilling home life is good business – “Family is not an important thing, it’s everything.” Michael J. Fox. Family could be defined as anyone close to you.
2. Positive emotions make people more successful
“When one door of happiness closes, another opens but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us.” – Helen Keller
– Glass half empty or full approach
– Determine how to react to situations
– Focus on positive behaviors of others
– Dwelling on the negative is destructive
– Make deposits in the emotional bank account
– Use the positive to motivate yourself
– Practice positive behaviors and thoughts
3. Food influences mood and performance
Try going Primed for your Life and you will surely experience many wonderful positive health outcomes.
By simply getting rid of highly processed foods like all grains, low-fat foods, vegetable oil and sugar you will be eating more nutritiously, will stabilize your blood sugar, reduce inflammation, improve digestion and boost your immune system so as to fight (not feed) disease.
All of these are highly processed and processed EXACTLY like sugar in your body. They all cause inflammation and are definitely less than optimal nutrition for any body and brain.
Just eat real food with real flavor and you will love the results like hundreds of Primed clients worldwide.
4. Trying to attain your healthy weight is doomed to failure if you are sleep-deprived
Being sleep deprived produces very similar effects on your insulin levels that “too many carbs” do. Even with great exercise like eccentric gym, a nutritious food and drink intake like we follow on the Primed Lifestyle and you get lots of sunshine and play time you can still become obese with a lack of sleep.

5. Be Grateful for your Blessings and your Challenges
“There’s nothing better than the encouragement of a good friend.” – Jacques Rousseau
Thanks for my wonderful “Today is a no carb day” t-shirt David Richmond. Greatly appreciated. I love it. More importantly though is that Lauren thinks it is cool. 🙂
A am very grateful for my two wonderful children and my beautiful and talented wife.
“As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.” – John F. Kennedy
“The deepest craving of human nature is the need to be appreciated.” – William James,
6. Exercise improves brain circuitry
Exercise has many benefits but it is not an effective way to regulate your weight. Too much exercise can also severely impact your hormones such cortisol.
Mark Sisson and Prof. Tim Noakes are spot on.
“Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative
intellectual activity.” – John F Kennedy
“If you don’t do what’s best for your body, you’re the one who comes up on the short end.” – Julius Erving
Please do not use the wrong fuel to do your exercise as you could be simply causing more inflammation in your body and rushing towards Type 2 Diabetes. The wrong fuel is blood sugar spiking things like sports drinks, gels and processed foods typically used to carbo load like bread, pasta and noodles.
It is worth listening to the great Professor Tim Noakes talking about Primed/LCHF athletes on this youtube video.
7. Lack of sleep is a major brain impairment
8. Listening is a skill to be practiced intently at EVERY opportunity you have. Listen like a dog!
From “The Art of Racing In The Rain” by Garth Stein
Lorenzo the dog thinking……“Here’s why I will be a good person. Because I listen. I cannot speak, so I listen very well. I never interrupt, I never deflect the course of the conversation with a comment of my own.”
“Seek first to understand, then to be understood.” – Stephen R. Covey
9. Play, Laugh, Have fun, Smile and Relax
We have moved to a new place in the Pasig region and will not connect our tv at all. We want to concentrate on more productive pursuits like learning new things that interest us, playing more and experiencing life’s joys.
We love playing cricket in the sun whilst getting our dose of essential Vitamin D that also helps with our circadian rhythms.Just in case you were wondering, Lauren is the best. Also, many of the top Australian cricketers have gone Primed/LCHF.
10. Take Time for Yourself
“Be your own best friend and don’t forget to wink at yourself now and then” – Diane von Furstenburg,
“You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection.” – Buddha
The 5 Rs:
