Visit Your Local Farmer’s Market Every Sunday – Ours Favorite is at Legaspi Village
What’s better than sleeping in on Sunday morning, going for a drive and then walk to the Legaspi Sunday Market, having breakfast or brunch AND then getting ALL your fresh shopping produce done for the busy week ahead? For me nothing is better than that. I’ll even be there tomorrow to have some Kombucha or Kefir for improved gut health!
Here are our Top 7 Reasons to go to the Legaspi Sunday Market
1. All Things Coconut Rock – Coco Wonder
We buy often buy our coconut sugar, virgin coconut oil, coconut flour and many other items from the Coco Wonder stall at the Legaspi Sunday Market. Check out their great products at the facebook page here.
2. Honey from a Bee
The honey for our Primed Home-made Gel is often bought from Milea Bee Farm’s stall at the market. Check their website here.
3. Fresh Vegetables and Fruit
4. Nuts and Berries
We love our dried berries and nuts as snacks and in food dishes like Primed Banana Pancakes.
5. Healthy Home Products from Satinka
6. Probiotic Beverages from Arthur’s Superfarm, Batangas
Your gut is often referred to as your second brain and is possibly the most under-appreciated organ in your body. When was the last time you consciously bought it a nice meal (like kimchi) or drink (like Kefir)? Your gut needs these good bacterias from probiotics and prebiotics as they enhance your immune system. My favorite drink at the Legaspi Market is a zesty Turmeric and Ginger mix from Tru-Berries. Sarap. Also try Bignay Berries, Tropical Blueberries, Guyanano Nectar and Passionfruit-Tamarind.
These products are high in antioxidants and are 100% natural. Text 0917-816-8794 for more details.
7. Walking Exercise
Park one kilometer away and walk to the market itself so you don’t get stuck in traffic and driving around in circles looking for a carpark. Also, bring your own bags or shopping basket including a backpack so it is easier to walk back to your car.
This way you are eco-friendly and get a nice little walking workout as you say hi to old friends, meet new ones and get all your shopping done for the week ahead.
Legaspi Sunday Market
Every Sunday from 7:00 am – 2:00 pm
Corner of Herrera and Legaspi Sts., Legaspi Village, Makati City
We are supposed to ear only produce from our own regions too. It is healthier for us, love and light C.
Perfect comment. Yes, we love to buy local too.
I love wondering around food markets on a Sunday morning! Borough Market in London is one of my favourites – even with all its crowds!
Hi Danielle, The crowds usually mean it’s good right? I love London and Carnaby Street which has a market feel. If in Adelaide you have to try their Central Market. Such wonderful produce. Thanks for your cool comment. Chad.
