Who doesn’t love a good quality chocolate brownie? Our whole family does but we make ours with Prime ingredients to make it a treat that is good for you in the right quantities.
There are many health benefits to Dark Chocolate such as being high in antioxidants; high in minerals like magnesium and iron; is an anti-inflammatory; helps liver function, reduces blood pressure; and minimises the risk of cardio vascular disease and stroke.
Ingredients:
60 mls dry cocoa (dark chocolate 72% and above)
100 mls dry cocoa that you will mix with a little hot water to make into a damp mixture (see picture above left-hand-side)
3/4 cup coconut flour
1 cup coconut sugar
1/2 cup coconut oil
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
2 eggs
Method:
1. Whisk the 2 eggs with the coconut oil and vanilla extract
2. Now whisk in your coconut sugar
3. Now whisk in coconut flour
4. Now whisk in dry cocoa
5. Now whisk in damp cocoa (the one you previously added some hot water to)
6. Pour entire mixture into baking tray
7. Place into 300 degree pre-heated oven for 30 minutes
8. Pull out, allow to cool, cut and then into squares

1. Brownies are a great afternoon snack for you and your children
2. Taste great with sliced banana or mixed berries
