How can you teach your children well without providing them proper nutrition? The short answer is that you cannot. Proper, optimal nutrition is the building block from which they then can then sleep, recover and function well in body and mind on a daily basis. Listen to this great song called Teach Your Children by Crosby Stills and Nash.
Here are some additional Primed Lunch Box items for you to feed your children (and yourself) from our last Lunch Box post that proved to be very popular.

Which Lunch Box Do You Think is the Best? This was the question taken from the facebook page of Loni Love
For me, France has a great balance of quality saturated fat, greens, protein and no gmo grains. You would not even feed your beloved pets the bad ‘food’ in the US lunch box as it is mostly sugar, sugar and processed chemicals with sugar.
How well are you feeding yourself and your loved ones? Optimally? Would you put inferior fuel into your car’s fuel tank?
Optimal performance requires optimal food that keeps their blood sugar levels at a low level (not elevated) and constant. This is ideal for healthy individuals whether young or old since the beginning of mankind.
Optimal fuel is clearly not cheap, highly processed frankenfoods like chips, fast foods and sweet drinks. Despite what some big companies would have you believe cheap “carbage” (terminology from my friend and LCHF proponent Jimmy Moore’s Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb) like bread, pasta and noodles are less than optimal. These “carbage” items are highly processed, GMO and are metabolically processed exactly like sugar in your body.
At a recent international low-carb, high-fat summit held in Cape Town in February Professor Noakes presented compelling evidence that the epidemic of chronic conditions facing the world today – cardiovascular disease, obesity, diabetes, even dementia – is just the tip of the iceberg. Underneath lies insulin resistance (IR), a metabolic condition driven by excess sugar/carbohydrates in the diet, and in particular refined carbohydrates (“carbage”) such as the ones mentioned above. See article here.
In the absence of good food options at your children’s school then packing their lunch is a great idea.
“Big Food is FINALLY feeling the pinch of better nutrition choices that people like you and me are making. And all I can say about that is boo freakin’ hoo! Processed, crappy carbage has led us down this path to obesity, diabetes, heart disease, cancer and worse. And while I don’t blame companies like Kraft and Kellogg’s for trying to make a buck peddling their carbohydrate-laden foods, the fact is their days of an oblivious buying public are long gone. All I can say is IT’S ABOUT TIME!” Quote from Jimmy Moore.

CNN asks, ‘Is McDonald’s doomed?’ Business Insider declares that ‘McDonald’s Is Losing America’ as the company fires its own CEO. What’s happening? As it turns out, the world is starting to ask what they’re truly eating in their food — and the new conglomerate of natural grocers and restaurants are trailblazing the way into an entirely new economic environment. In other words: people are simply tired of shoveling garbage into their bodies, and they’re not going to put up with it anymore. Great article from here.
Here’s just a few of the ingredients you can find in many fast food meals:
- Dimethylpolysiloxane – A chemical known for its use in silicone breast implants, silly putty, and also… chicken nuggets
- Propylene glycol – A laxative chemical and electronic cigarette filler that even e-cigarette companies are beginning to phase out
- Azodicarbonamide – A chemical used in the creation of foamed plastic items like yoga mats. Article from here.
