Waking Early to Go Tree Planting with Haribon Foundation was So Worth It
Planting site is in Mts Banahaw-San Cristobal Protected Landscape, Laguna.
Our first beautiful site after leaving the City of San Pablo on our way Rizal
We made our way to the planting site which is in Mts Banahaw-San Cristobal Protected Landscape, Laguna.
After our orientation meeting we climbed the trails up to 900 meters above sea level to our Forest planting area. We represented Haribon Foundation with two other corporate groups also there.
Christian, Lauren and Stephanie Lim (Slim for short). Slim is from The Haribon Foundation and together with Nic were fabulous leaders
Now For Our Fun Trail Walk in the Forest – It was fabulous
So many beautiful sights, sounds and smells. Forest bathing ROCKS.
Our cool guide for the red team was Jun.
Tree Planting is So Rewarding – We Loved Getting our Hands “Dirty”
Lauren and Christian had good techniques. With the sapling over the hole in the Earth you unwrap the plastic, lower in the young tree and then gently cover with soil.
Christian’s birthday was the previous day with all participants singing him a hearty and heartfelt rendition of happy birthday. We had fun. We met some great people.
