6 Days Till Christmas – Ditch One Bad Habit

6. Ditch One Bad Habit before New Years Eve

I have a friend who used to be addicted to sex, drugs, alcohol and more. He is clean and fit now but we all have some habits that prevent us from being truly happy or healthy.

News flash. From November 8th 2014 I have given up ALL ALCOHOL.

Why Did Chad Give Up All BOOZE From November 8th 2015 Until September 28th 2018?

I have done it for my family, my wellness clients and most importantly for myself.

With my INCREASED energy from going PRIMED I do not want to waste it. I want to help you more by researching and learning more about healthy living, I want to come up with more effective ideas and ways to help you all and I want to do an Ironman event at 90 years of age.

I also want to spend more quality time with my family and I am certain that drinking alcohol (even just a little every now and then) is not helping my goals. Besides, being an Australian, we love beer and one inevitably turns into two or three.

Beer Joke

Man sitting at home on  the verandah with his wife and he says, “I love you.” She asks, “Is that you  or the beer talking?” He replies, “It’s  me…………. talking to the beer.”

Ask yourself what it is you love a little too much and what you need to give up?

There is a lot of addiction in the world today. A lot of people are addicted to a lot of different things. Just to name a few of the more self-destructive ones (and destructive to ones friends and family) are: alcohol, drugs, GAMBLING, sex, pornography, smoking, surfing the internet, texting, watching TV, eating fast foods, using facebook and sugar.

Sugar and Grains

I include sugar and grains because we all know that the world currently is experiencing an obesity epidemic. Not just here in the Philippines (with high numbers of diabetes, people with heart conditions and other illnesses) but in the U.S., Australia and many other countries. Of course, our more sedentary lifestyle is a contributing factor but sugar and grains are being consumed more and more and is a significant contributing factor to this obesity. It is used in a lot of packaged and processed foods.

Do you love sugar and grains too much? Could you give it up?

Many institutions use CAGE Criteria for assessing alcoholism where “CAGE” is an acronym for the following:
C – Have you ever felt you should Cut down on your drinking?
A – Have people Annoyed you by criticizing your drinking?
G – Have you ever felt bad or Guilty about your drinking?
E – Eye opener: Have you ever had a drink first thing in the morning to steady your nerves or to get rid of a hangover?

Ask yourself these questions with your use of the internet (or using your cell phone), GAMBLING, having sugary foods and drinks, eating grains or any of the issues mentioned above.
